I really enjoy going to the beach and taking in the beauty of the Mediterranean and the mountains and thinking about all that I am so blessed with. This experience has changed me in so many ways. I have begun to appreciate things a lot more.. Things that I miss, people that I miss.. I have matured in many ways and have become more outgoing and independent.
Being in Europe and seeing such amazing things has left a lasting impression on my life. I am so glad that I decided come here and wouldn't trade this for anything. It has been really hard not seeing my family and I miss a lot of things, but I remind myself of the things that I am getting to see and that those things and people will be waiting for me when I get home.... Enough with my thoughts..
Today Lauren and I woke up feeling drained and tired so we decided to sleep in again :)
We got up around 9:30 and had breakfast and decided to go to the beach. It was a beautiful morning to go to the beach and we relaxed for about an hour by the ocean. After we were down there for about an hour fog started to take over the whole beach. At first we were kind of freaked out by it, but we found out that it is called sea fog and is caused from air that was sitting over warmer water moves over colder water. It was very strange because we could barely see 100 feet down the beach from us. We decided to come home around 12:30 or so because the sun was being blocked out by the fog and we weren't getting much sun anymore.
When we got home we had Albondigas con salsa de Almondras (meatballs in almond sauce), which Lauren and I requested because it's our favorite thing that Carmen makes us. It was absolutely delicious! Today she even added some potatoes and mushrooms and chicken in with the meatballs. It is divine!
The rest of the day we will catch up on some homework and relax and possibly head back to the beach.
Yesterday we asked Carmen for a picture with her and she was very happy to take a picture with each of us. We were very excited :)
Abrazos y Besos
